Steve Coughran built his first company, a landscaping business, out of his sister's garage at 16. He grew it past a million in revenue, then hit a wall when a prospect looked at his work and told him it was not good enough. That stung, and it changed everything. He rebuilt the business, and then he rebuilt himself.
He earned his CPA and an MBA from Duke, spent years at Ernst and Young, and became CFO of a billion-dollar company. Everywhere he looked, he saw good owners making big decisions with no real financial picture to guide them. He started Coltivar to give them one.
